Thomas More Modemonitor

About
More Monitor is a project built in collaboration with Wasco for Thomas More, based on research results from a survey on fashion and reusability. The survey was designed to measure the degree of sustainability awareness among respondents, and formed the basis of a large-scale study.
The goal was to present that study to stakeholders: retailers of any size, from small shops and boutiques to large clothing lines. The platform lets them test a sustainability concept against their specific target audience and see how likely it is to resonate. A small store targeting young men, for example, could ask how relevant a secondhand market would be to its customers. Based on the results, stakeholders can filter by target audience and get a set of charts comparing that segment to the full dataset: how they think about fashion, how much they spend, whether they'd pay more or less, and what alternative approaches might work better than their original idea.
To make this possible, we built a full platform that ingests the data, segments it, and turns it into interactive results. The charts are custom built, enabling hover interactions and live comparisons between the current filtered selection and the full dataset. Everything is rendered with Canvas and JavaScript, keeping the experience fast and smooth in the browser, all within Thomas More's house style.
